Istria Day Tours

Area: Just below Slovenia, Istria is the largest penisula on the Adriatic coast and shares a maritime border with Italy. Traditionally, a very popular destination for foreign visitors to Croatia, Istria is beginning to produce some exceptional wines due to its rich soil and gently sloping land.

Wine: Istrian wine production is mainly in four areas--Buje, Porec, Pazin and Rovinj. The main wines are Malvazija (Malvasia), a refreshing golden wine that compliments the local seafood; Muskat (muscatel), a dry sweet wine; and the red wine of Teran, a full and fruity red.
